With the cost of quality narcotics K9s being in the range of $8,000 to $15,000 many police departments simply do
not have the funds to purchase quality K9s for police work. Add to that the cost of training the police handler and the
costs sky rocket past most department budgets.
K9 Drug Alert is currently working with police departments in low income areas to assist in training quality drug
detection and police handler teams. This service is free of charge to police departments in low income areas. The
training is for narcotics detection only and does not include the price of K9 purchase. K9 Drug Alert will assist in the
location and testing of possible quality K9s for training and help to keep this cost to a minimum. To find out if your
