My love is with my children and my passion is with training and behavior
work with dogs and people.
From a very young age animals (mostly dogs) have always been a
magnet to me. What they wanted or how they were feeling just always
made sense just from looking at them. No need to speak, they show you
what they want / need / feel. All you need to do really is pay attention.
I have been working with behavior training with people and pets for 25+
years and it is still my passion. I now train dogs for detection work. I will
always find time to work with people and the pets they love.
I was a breeder of champ harlequin Great Danes with dogs in 5
countries but grew tired of the show-ring politics that abound there. Now I
no longer breed or show but I still rescue. Can't help it, I fell in love with
the breed.

I have been in animal rescue for 26 years. I have been involved with training for obedience and behavior
problem correction and scent discrimination for 22 years. I have been a professional breeder of champion
Harlequin Great Danes placed in 5 countries, including USA, Canada, France, Argentina and Germany.
Earning awards for Breeder of the Year Illini Great club (1996) , Top Dam Illini Great Dane Club (1995 &
1996) (breeding female producing the most champions of record that year).
In addition I have done freelance work as a Veterinary Assistant and Behavior / Training Consultant for
veterinary clients providing training in private home settings and group lessons for 12 years (1987 - 1999),
Canine Trainer and Behaviorist (1983 - 1986) in private home settings.
